This includes the camera specifications of the iPhone 13 that Apple is expected to launch next year with four models, according to famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Kuo predicted in his latest note that Apple will continue with four models for the next year iPhone 13 series. This could mean that we will see the file iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max next year, replacing the current lineup of iPhone 12 models in each category. This is critically important to the Cupertino giant because it caters to a wide range of consumers with four models and may not want to stop offering that choice.
The iPhone 13 camera will be significantly improved. Kuo noticed that the iPhone 13 will have an ultrawide F1.6 6P lens with autofocus on the back. This is a huge upgrade over what the iPhone 12 carries its rear camera. Apple is said to use lenses from its main supplier, Taiwan’s Largan Precision. Kuo predicted that at least 70% of all orders will go to the Taiwanese supplier for iPhone 13 lenses. This would mean that Largan Precision will have to modify its lens technology.
Now, there is just so much information that Kuo has shared at this point, that it’s too early to talk about iPhone Apple next year. We don’t know much about it iPhone 13, for example if the OLED display will finally have a refresh rate of 90Hz or 120Hz. Before iPhone 12 was launched, several rumors pointed out that Apple will give the 120Hz ProMotion Display on at least one iPhone model this year, but unfortunately it did not happen. The Touch ID below the display isn’t there yet, so there’s that. Apple missed the bus to catch up with the market trend here, but the iPhone 12 brings 5G if that surprises you.
