Apple announced Apple Silicon in October 2020, with the ‘M1’ processor as the initial iteration. Apple has already unveiled its second-generation unique Mac processor architecture, dubbed M2. The M2 chip is the first to appear in the brand new MacBook Air. Apple claims that CPU performance has improved by 18%. With up to 24 GB total RAM, you may now enjoy 50% greater memory bandwidth than M1. There are now ten total GPU cores, with graphics performance up to 35% greater than M1. M2 is said to be manufactured using the same five nanometer technology as M1.
