The iPhone 12 has been a big seller since its launch in October 2020. Scottsdale’s Rober Switzer was happy to have his phone, until he heard about a recent studio.
“I feel like this is a big deal,” Switzer said.
In January 2021, the Heart Rhythm Journal published a study which warns the iPhone 12 has a larger magnet for charging the phone than previous models. They found that when the phone was placed within six inches of a patient’s pacemaker, it could shut down.
“I have to be very careful about my surroundings and what I am connected to,” said Switzer, who has had a pacemaker for several years.
It turns out that many cell phones have the same or similar technology, not just the iPhone 12….
