Airtel entered India’s $ 1 billion cloud communications market with the launch of Airtel IQ on Monday. Airtel IQ is a cloud-based omni-channel communication platform that allows brands to deepen customer engagement through timely and secure communications.
For example, a customer who orders food via an online platform and calls the delivery agent to find out the status of their order will use Airtel IQ. “The entire communication is orchestrated transparently and securely via Airtel IQ. The communication is encrypted and all mobile and phone numbers are masked, “Airtel noted. The company also noted that Airtel IQ eliminates the need for multiple communication platforms for different channels.
Businesses can embed communications services such as Voice, SMS, IVR into their applications and digital properties on desktops and mobile devices, all through a unified platform with just a portion of code.
Airtel IQ has been fully developed by Airtel’s in-house engineering teams and underscores the company’s growing digital ability to deliver world-class solutions. “Natively integrated into telco-grade infrastructure and designed by top digital talent, Airtel IQ is robust, secure, cost-effective and intuitive,” the company noted.
Swiggy, Justdial, Urban Company, Havells, Dr Lal Path Labs and Rapido have registered as Airtel IQ customers during the beta phase itself.
“Continuous and secure communication between our customers, delivery partners and partner restaurants is the key to enabling our service. With Airtel IQ, we have been able to provide seamless and highly intuitive communications between all parties through our platform in a simplified and privacy-friendly way, ”said Vivek Sunder, COO, Swiggy in a statement.
Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer, Bharti Airtel said, “At Airtel, we are obsessed with solving customer problems and Airtel IQ is the first of several revolutionary products we will bring to market. Businesses are increasingly looking for cloud-based digital platforms to engage with consumers, and Airtel IQ is built to raise the bar when it comes to brands that satisfy consumers. So, next time you enjoy shopping online, ordering food from your favorite restaurant, or calling a ride, remember there’s some Airtel IQ in there that makes it possible hassle-free and safe.
