BSNL recently introduced Bharat Fiber Plans starting at Rs 449 for a 90 day promotional period. The government-owned telecommunications company introduced these broadband plans shortly after Reliance Jio announced Jio Fiber plans starting at Rs 399. Airtel also revamped its more basic broadband plans which were previously Rs 499 and Rs 799. Airtel has yet to extensively update its website and Thanks app with the update. Let’s take a look at the broadband plans these telecom companies have to offer along with their benefits.
Airtel broadband plans: Right now the Airtel website and Thanks app show five broadband plans ranging from Rs 499 to Rs 3999. However, Airtel apparently updated its most basic plans which came in at Rs 499 and Rs 799 and offered speed. of 40 Mbps and 70 Mbps with unlimited data at Rs 589 and Rs 943 respectively. This change has been spotted by select users for now and is not reflected on the Airtel website as mentioned. The following broadband plans remain the same for Airtel.
Broadband entertainment plan at Rs 999: The Airtel XStream broadband entertainment plan offers unlimited internet and high-speed calling up to 200 Mbps.
Ultra broadband plan at Rs 1499: The Airtel XStream Ultra Broadband Plan offers unlimited Internet with speeds up to 300 Mbps and unlimited local and STD calls.
VIP broadband plan at Rs 3999: The Airtel XStream VIP broadband plan offers unlimited Internet with speeds up to 1 Gbps and unlimited local and STD calls.
The entertainment, ultra broadband and VIP plans give access to Amazon Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar and Zee5 services while all plans give access to Airtel XStream OTT services. Airtel XStreamapp includes Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo Me, Hoichoi and Ultra channels. Additionally, Airtel announced that all plans will include the Airtel Xstream 4k TV Box along with over 10,000 original movies, shows and series from 7 OTT apps and 5 Studios. This is provided for a security deposit of Rs 1500.
Coming to BSNL, the government-owned telco last week announced four Bharat Fiber broadband plans. Ranging from Rs 449 to Rs 1499. These broadband plans were introduced by BSNL for a 90 day promotional period in these telecommunication circles.
BSNL Bharat Fiber Rs 449 broadband plan: This plan, also called the Fiber Basic plan, offers a speed of 30 Mbps up to 3.3TB speed or FUP limit of 3300GB. Once the FBD limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps. Users who opt for this plan will also receive unlimited voice calls to any network in India.
BSNL Bharat Fiber Rs 799 broadband plan: This plan offers speeds of 100 Mbps up to 3300GB or 3.3TB. Once the FBD limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps. BSNL Premium Fiber Rs 999 broadband plan: The BSNL Fiber Premium broadband plan offers a speed of 200 Mbps for Rs 999 up to 3300 GB or 3.3 TB, after which the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps. This plan includes a free subscription to Disney + Hotstar.
BSNL Ultra Fiber Rs 1499 broadband plan: This BSNL plan offers speeds of up to 300 Mbps up to 4TB or 4000GB. After the FBD limit, the speed is reduced to 4 Mbps. This plan also offers unlimited calling benefits to any network within the country. This plan also includes a free subscription to DIsney + Hotstar.
Finally, Reliance Jio which introduced JioFiber broadband plans last month starting at Rs 399. Users have to pay an additional Rs 99 for Amazon Prime benefits.
The new broadband plans announced by JioFiber at Rs 399 and Rs 699 offer truly unlimited Internet at speeds of 30 Mbps and 60 Mbps respectively. These plans do not come with any OTT subscription but offer unlimited calling.
Rs 999 broadband plan which comes with truly unlimited internet with download and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbps. The plan also provides unlimited voice calls and access to 11 OTT apps including Amazon Prime, Disney + Hotstar worth Rs 1000 Other floors are of a slightly higher range.
The Diamond plan costs Rs 1499 and offers unlimited Internet with download and upload speeds of up to 300 Mbps. In addition to providing unlimited voice calls, it also offers a free subscription to 12 OTT apps at no additional cost.
