After backlash, Sonic the Hedgehog director vows to alter character’s design

The web kicked up an enormous stink over the previous few days after seeing the primary trailer for Paramount Footage’ reside-motion Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and with good cause – the beloved Sega mascot’s character design within the film is a blue nightmare.

From his ghastly human tooth to his oddly buff legs and small ft, the movie model of the speedy online game hedgehog barely resembles the character everyone knows and like (let’s be trustworthy, ‘love’ is a bit robust for Sonic).

Nicely, pat yourselves on the again, web, since you’ve gained – Paramount and the movie’s director, Jeff Fowler, have heard your considerations and have vowed to change the character’s design in time for the movie’s launch.

Fowler took to Twitter to guarantee followers that he and the studio will do no matter it takes to ensure the film model of Sonic does justice to the character.

Whereas that is undeniably a win for followers and can certainly end in a greater movie in the long term, we do really feel sorry for the movie’s animators, who’ll in all probability need to work their butts off to be able to get Sonic the Hedgehog prepared in time for its November eight launch. That stated, at the very least Sonic will not appear to be this anymore…
