Neil Rally, president of 505 Games (Death Stranding’s PC publisher) is quoted in the release. “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Intel for the Death Stranding Director’s Cut edition on PC,” he says. “Death Stranding has been a hugely popular game with PC players and we’re excited to see how Intel’s new XeSS technology will enhance player experience for Director’s Cut.”
According to a rumoured Intel news release, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be released for PC. Given that the first Death Stranding was released on PC shortly after the PlayStation 4 version, this isn’t the most surprising rumour. According to VideoCardz, the press release specifically mentions the Director’s Cut version of the game, which will reportedly work with Intel’s future Arc GPUs.
None of this is officially confirmed, as this is hanging on the word of VideoCardz, although it all seems pretty legit. A PC port of this title is inevitable, really — we expect this will be formally announced soon. As of right now, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is a PS5 console exclusive that enhances the original game with improved visuals, performance, and new features.
